Kids ministry teachers, greeters, musicians, ushers, group leaders, and countless other volunteers are invited.

At Leadership Launch we'll share a meal together, laugh, talk about the upcoming year, and break up into smaller groups for a short time of training.

None

Women's Book Club: None Like Him

August 26th, 2018

$0 - $10

Looking for summer reading? Read at the pool or the beach and then join us for coffee, community, and conversation at our monthly book club. We will meet three times this summer at Waterbean Coffee in Cornelius to discuss that month's book. You have the option to purchase the book when you register or to purchase it on your own.

This month's book is None Like Him by Jen Wilkin. Read the book's description from the publisher:

God is self-existent, self-sufficient, eternal, immutable, omnipresent, omniscient, omnipotent, sovereign, infinite, and incomprehensible.

We're not.

And that's a good thing.

Our limitations are by design. We were never meant to be God. But at the root of every sin is our rebellious desire to possess attributes that belong to God alone. Calling us to embrace our limits as a means of glorifying God's limitless power, Jen Wilkin invites us to celebrate the freedom that comes when we rest in letting God be God.

Meeting dates & book to be discussed:
6/24: Humble Roots by Hannah Anderson
7/22: The Imperfect Disciple by Jared Wilson
8/26: None Like Him by Jen Wilkin

Godofcreation 750x500

Women's Fall Bible Study (God of Creation: Tues. Mornings 9:30am) w/ Kym Campbell

September 11th - November 13th, 2018

$0 - $15

Over 10 sessions of verse-by-verse study, dive into Genesis 1-11 by following three critical stages of understanding: comprehension, interpretation, and application. Revisit familiar stories and historical figures, challenge your basic knowledge, and discover deeper meanings in the text. As God reveals Himself through Scripture, we can only begin to understand ourselves when we first glimpse the character, attributes, and promises of our Creator.

Precept study

Women's Bible Study (Precepts: 2 Corinthians) w/ Becky Gandy Tues. mornings at 9:30am

September 11th - November 13th, 2018

$0 - $45

Second Corinthians is a book about ministry, various kinds of ministry. But in the midst of ministry, sometimes Christians are burdened beyond strength, despairing of life, having fears within and conflicts without. How do we cope with those things? This book tells us how to be strong in the Lord when accusations and persecutions are directed toward us, how to have confidence in Him and not lose heart, and even how to correct those who are our accusers.

This group meets every Tues. morning at 9:30 am at Christ Community. A workbook is required to attend this course.

Ever wondered why baptism is so important? Or been curious why different churches baptize in different ways? Have you considered getting baptized yourself, but have never taken the step? Then Baptism Class is for you.

We'll answer questions like, "What does baptism mean?" and "who should be baptized?" and "why does Christ Community baptize the way they do?" Attending the class does not obligate you to go through with baptism. It's simply a time to learn what it's all about it.

Reclaim slide variation

Reclaim

September 30th, 2018

With so many differing voices telling us what it means to be a woman, it can sometimes be hard to know what's true. Thankfully, our Heavenly Father has told us who we are. At Reclaim, we'll discuss principles from His Word to learn just exactly who He's calling us to be. Join us for an evening of discussion, prayer, and fellowship. We'll provide refreshments.

In order to make sure all women are able to attend, childcare will not be provided. We're encouraging husbands, dads, and granddads to step in and help so that our ladies can be blessed by this evening.
